The theme for this winter is Animal Detectives in the park! Children will help Hoot explore the park to see which animal has hidden Hoot's feather! Programs are designed with the 2-6 year old crowd in mind. An adult companion must attend. Each program stirs up the following recipe; a sprinkle of nature inspired activities, a dollop of family nature walks and a scoop of free play.
Winter programs are offered weekly on Wednesdays at a south base camp and Thursdays at a north base camp for a 4-week series. Classes run in the morning from 10:00-11:30 during the months of January, February and March. Each park has washrooms (flush or outhouses) available, a shelter and fire pits. Building fire techniques will be shared as long as conditions are favorable.
